Peter Dubowsky, Esq. of the Dubowsky Law Office, Chtd. of Las Vegas, Nevada practices commercial collection litigation and judgment enforcement throughout Nevada.  Mr. Dubowsky has served on the bench on the Las Vegas Small Claims Court as a judge since 1998.  He has been adjunct faculty at the College of Southern Nevada, and a lecturer, teaching seminars about Nevada Judgments, Collection Law in Nevada, and history, among other topics.  He is appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court to mentor newly admitted attorneys.  Peter is also a founder and treasurer of the Creditors’ Rights Attorneys Association of Nevada.

In the summer of 1991, as a first-year Southwestern Law School student, Mr. Dubowsky was selected to be a Law Clerk for  a judge in the Eighth Judicial District Court in Las Vegas.  He returned to Las Vegas as a second year law student of 1992 as a summer clerk for Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Nelson, which was then, one of Nevada’s largest litigation firms.  Upon graduation from Southwestern Law School in 1993, he was hired to work at the Alverson, Taylor firm, he passed the Nevada Bar that year, and participated in the Nevada American Inns of Court.

In 1995, Mr. Dubowsky was hired as an Associate of the Wanderer & Wanderer Law Firm, an internationally respected collection law firm.  After representing trustees in bankruptcy, Mr. Dubowsky began practicing almost exclusively in collection litigation and judgment enforcement.  After a few years, he began writing and teaching in that area of law.  He authored  “Pay When Paid” Provision of a Construction Subcontract, Nevada Law Review, in Spring 1998 and "You Can Garnish More than a Fine Dish: A Consumer’s Guide to Nevada’s Garnishment Laws" Clark County (Nevada) Communiqué; July 2003.  Mr. Dubowsky crafted and taught: "Collecting Judgments from Start to Finish in Nevada"; full-day seminar March 2002, "Judgment Enforcement in Nevada"; full day seminar March 2001, March 2002, October 2003.

After starting the Dubowsky Law Office in 2003, he also passed the rigorous Nevada Financial Institutions Division examination to be a certified Colllection Agency Manager.  He taught seminars such as Collection Law for the New Attorney; Clark County Bar Assoc. half-day seminar July 2003, Avoiding Liability in Debt Collection; full-day seminar September 2003, Collection Law in Nevada; full-day seminar November 2002, November 2003, November 2004, February 2006,  Ethics Roundtable Discussion, for the Commercial Law League of America, in Los Angeles, California (Part I) 2014, Las Vegas, Nevada (Part I) 2015, and Chicago, Illinois (“What’s My Fee” Part II) 2016. and Nevada Judgments Part 1, February 2016 for Creditor Rights Attorneys Association Of Nevada, Inc., Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition he also taught at the Commercial Law League of America’s National Conference in Chicago June 2018. He also taught a session on Forum Selection Clauses at the 2019 Commercial Law League of America National Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Peter is a member of both the Commercial Law League Association (CLLA) and the International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC).
